ubuntuFunหาก apt-get หรือ mv font /usr/share/fonts/truetype แล้ว อาจจะต้องมีการ reload ซะหน่อย
ด้วย
$ sudo fc-cache -sf
แต่ตอนนี้ ง่ายกว่านั้น มีเครื่องมือ font view สามารถ install ได้โดยตรง และหรือ หากทำงานง่ายกว่านั้น ก็ gnome-font-manager install ผ่าน ubuntu-app ได้เลย สามารถทำงานกับฟอนต์ ได้อย่างง่ายดาย ทั้ง install & reload ได้เลย

ลอง installed firefox 3 beta 2 รู้สึก (คิดไปเองหรือเปล่าไม่รู้) มันเนียนๆ ดี และ tab ก็ดู clear กว่าเวอร์ชั่น 2 แต่ทั้งนี้ก็เจอปัญหาการแสดงผลทางหน้าจอเหมือนกัน แต่ม่ะ เป็นไร feedback กลับไปแล้ว รอวันออกตัวเต็มดีกว่า

ผมแก้ตามนี้ แล้วเวลาในการบูต ลดจาก 3 นาทีครึ่ง เหลือ 40 วิ !
แก้ไฟล์ /etc/initramfs-tools/modules
เพิ่มสามบรรทัดนี้เข้าไป:
vga16fb
fbcon
vesafb
แก้ไฟล์ /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist-framebuffer
คอมเมนท์สองบรรทัดนี้ออก (เติม # ไว้หน้าบรรทัด):
blacklist vesafb
blacklist vga16fb
รันคำสั่งนี้:
sudo update-initramfs -u
แล้วลองบูตใหม่
ใช้ได้ไม่ได้ ลองแจ้งไปที่ Ubuntu Forums

* Zoom-in once = Super-key right-click

* Snap Move window (will stick to borders) = Ctrl + Shift + left-click
