Firefox3 เนียน

ลอง installed firefox 3 beta 2 รู้สึก (คิดไปเองหรือเปล่าไม่รู้) มันเนียนๆ ดี และ tab ก็ดู clear กว่าเวอร์ชั่น 2 แต่ทั้งนี้ก็เจอปัญหาการแสดงผลทางหน้าจอเหมือนกัน แต่ม่ะ เป็นไร feedback กลับไปแล้ว รอวันออกตัวเต็มดีกว่า

and KDE4.0 ??

fix long boot time in Ubuntu 7.10

ผมแก้ตามนี้​ ​แล้ว​เวลา​ใน​การบูต​ ​ลด​จาก​ 3 ​นาทีครึ่ง​ ​เหลือ​ 40 ​วิ​ !

แก้​ไฟล์​ /etc/initramfs-tools/modules
​เพิ่มสามบรรทัดนี้​เข้า​ไป​:

vga16fb
fbcon
vesafb

แก้​ไฟล์​ /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist-framebuffer
​คอมเมนท์สองบรรทัดนี้ออก​ (เติม​ # ​ไว้​หน้าบรรทัด):

blacklist vesafb
blacklist vga16fb

รันคำ​สั่งนี้​:

sudo update-initramfs -u

แล้ว​ลองบูต​ใหม่
​ใช้​ได้​ไม่​ได้​ ​ลองแจ้งไปที่​ Ubuntu Forums

There are many configuration options under Compiz->General->Screen0->Options.

* Switch windows = Alt + Tab
* Arrange and View All Windows = Moving the pointer to the top right screen corner turns on or off; clicking a window will zoom it to the front
* Switch desktops on cube = Ctrl + Alt + Left/Right Arrow
* Switch desktops on cube – with active window following = Ctrl + Shift + Alt + Left/Right Arrow
* Rotate cube manually = Ctrl + Alt + left-click and grab an empty desktopspace.
* Make window translucent/opaque = possible with the “transset” utility or Alt + wheel mouse
* Zoom-in once = Super-key right-click
* Zoom-in manually = Super-key + wheel mouse up
* Zoom-out manually = Super-key + wheel mouse down
* Move window = Alt + left-click
* Snap Move window (will stick to borders) = Ctrl + Shift + left-click
* Resize window = Alt + right-click
* Bring up the window below the top window = Alt + middle-click
* Slow-motion = Shift + F10
* Water = hold Ctrl+Super key
o Rain = Shift-F9

“Super-key” means the Linux respectively Win**** key.

อัพเกรด อีกแล้ว จาก 7.04 fully upgrade from 7.10 BETA then partial upgrade to be 7.10RC… nice .. อีกสองวันเอง แต่ม่ะเป็นไร … ช๊อบบ ..

ขณะที่รอตัวสมบูรณ์ ก็เขวเหมือนกันว่าอยากลอง openSUSE 10.3 เนื่องจากมี แบบ one cd installation แต่ว่าลอง install iso สองแบบ ทั้ง KDE CD & Gnome CD แต่ไม่สำเร็จ ไม่เข้าใจ ไม่ง่ายสำหรับ Newbie หรือ User.. และก็คิดเหมือนกันว่า การที่จะมานั่งปรับให้ hardware ทุกตัวทำงานได้อย่างสมบูรณ์ ก็คงเป็นเรื่องที่เสียเวลา อีกทั้ง ubuntu ถึอว่าเข้าใจมากพอ พอสมควร ที่จำทำงานภายใต้ระบบปฏิบัติการ distro นี้ …

อีกครั้ง .. ลองตัวใหม่ (ลองไปเรื่อยๆ ดูพัฒนาการของลีนุกซ์) เวอร์ชั่นใหม่ 7.10 มีความน่าใช้ และสร้างสิ่งต่างๆ ที่ง่ายสำหรับผู้ที่ อยากจะลอง ซึ่งย้ายมาจาก MS .. .”" แจ๋วจริง ลองซิ”"(ยืมมาใช้ จากโฆษณาอะรัยซักอย่าง hi hi hi)

อดใจรอคอย Ubuntu 7.10 “Gutsy Gibbon” เวอร์ชั่นสมบูรณ์ไม่ไหว เลย upgrade ทั้งที่ยังเป็น beta version นี่แหละ .
โห .. ดาวน์โหลด upgrade ทั้งคืนเลย แต่ยอม…ฮิ ฮิ

ไม่ผิดหวังเลย ของเก่าไม่เสียหาย แถมยังทำให้รู้สึกง่ายขึ้น สวยขึ้น และคมขึ้น ตั้งเยอะ …
Gnome, Appearance & Compiz fusion are cool!!!
นอกจากนี้ Firefox ก็เนียน แถม OpenOffice 2.3 ไม่เอียงซ้ายแล้ว ดูคุ้นเคยหน่อย .. ดี ดี ..
แต่
.. GRUB ยังคงเหมือนเดิม upgrade ทีไร เมนู เยอะตามเวอร์ชั้นอยู่ …

ไม่รู้ว่าเพิ่งปรับปรุงหรือเปล่า สำหรับการ uninstall theme แล้วหายไปทันที ไม่ต้องรอ restart firefox ใหม่ อีกครั้ง
